Christmas Bird Counts

Our 7th annual Rainy River Christmas Bird Count will run on Saturday, December 18, 2021.

We are also sponsoring the Morson Christmas Bird Count! The Morson count will take place on Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

The Rainy River Count Circle runs from Pinewood north to Highway 600 and west to the border.

The Morson Count Circle runs from Highway 600 north to the lake and east to the Tovell-Dewart boundary line.

Count the birds wherever you are and share your list with us!

You can download, fill in and return our Bird Count form (see below), post your numbers on our Facebook page, email them to us - libraryrr at gmail dot com - or phone them in at 807.852.3375. We will publish our Count results in the New Year.

You can learn more about the Christmas Bird Count through the Audubon Society and Birds Canada.

Thank you very much for your participation, good luck, and good birding!
