Does the Library Take Donations?

Picture
Yes! The library can accept items in good condition, such as gently-used books, CDs and DVDs for adults, teens and children.

The library is unable to take: damaged, stained or dirty books; VHS or audio cassettes; cassettes or videos copied from originals; moldy or damp books; textbooks; National Geographic magazines; old encyclopedia sets; or Reader's Digest Condensed Books.

If we are unable to add your donation to the collection, we will use it in our annual book sale. This helps raise money to buy new items each year.

If you would like to make a cash donation, your financial support would be most welcome. Please make your cheque payable to the Rainy River Public Library. If you would like a charitable receipt for your donation, let us know at the time of your donation. The Town of Rainy River will issue your receipt.
The minimum amount eligible for a receipt is $10.00.
