About Us

The Rainy River Public Library is the westernmost public library in Ontario. The community of Rainy River is located 1,900 kilometres northwest of Toronto, 440 kilometres west of Thunder Bay and about 225 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg. The library is funded by four local municipalities, and is accountable to a population of 2,100 dispersed over a territory of 1,450 square kilometres. The library serves approximately 900 registered borrowers with a collection of 12,000 items, and new electronic and accessible services.
